This paper concentrates on the experimental investigations of Capillary Pumped Loop(CPL) used in aeronautic electronic devices. Several experimental systems are developed to measure the characteristic parameters of the porous wick which is the chief component of CPL; A CPL is designed and fabricated, and its working fluid charging system is designed and made as well. Calculation of the gross of working fluid is concluded; In order to study CPL's heat transfer performance, special experiment equipments are set up. The transient and steady temperature distribution of CPL is measured by using the K-type thermocouples. The effects of several factors such as the working fluid charging rate, the power of the heater on evaporator, the control of reservoir's temperature are analyzed. Some transport phenomena of the working fluid and the heat transfer characteristics of the loop are observed in experiments and are discussed in detail. The maxim power of the heater on evaporator under which the system can operate is measured in addition .
