| An approximate method based on geometric parameters which is proposed for analysis of frame elastic lateral displacement considering the influence of vertical load is derived. Then a frame example is calculated by this method and the plane frame analysis system FRAME and the nonlinear problem program ANSYS. By analysis and compare the computed result, it can be find that this method not only ensures a more accurate result, but also brings about a rapid speed of convergence, and its theory is very easy and simple. This method can calculate not only the displacement and force, but also the length in effect of the column and the turning point of the curve, and so on. It is helped to set up an integrity and accurate understanding of the structure's displacements. |
