Following the start of the south to north water diversion project, there will be a number of large and middle pumping stations to be in long-term service. According to the need of "unmanned on duty" operation mode and the transition from "schedule maintenance" to "condition-based maintenance" in pumping station, it has become one of burning issues in the field of pumping station that how to implement vibration monitoring and fault diagnosis on pumping unit.This dissertation firstly describes the aim, meaning and content of the study on vibration monitoring and fault diagnosis, and its application and development home and abroad. Moreover, it introduces the virtual instrument technology, which is popular in the field of Computer Aided Technology, and also analyzes the mechanism and characteristic of mechanical vibration, including the unbalance and misalignment. It discusses the key technology and difficulties of the study on vibration monitoring and fault diagnosis, which are the confirmation of test parameters, the choosing of sensors, the collecting and processing of signal, and the technology of fault diagnosis, etc.In the dissertation, a Vl-based measurement system dedicated to the vibration monitoring and diagnosis on axial-pump unit is designed and realized, and by use of the system, Both time domain and frequency domain methods can be used to analyze vibration signal, and the analysis of unit stability is carried out in different pump operating conditions. Rub-impact fault signal is non-stationary. Wavelet package technology can effectively extract useful information from vibration signals in wide band range, which is convenient for rub-impact fault diagnosis. By using wavelet package and reconstruction technique, the rub-impact fault signal is processing and the feature of rub-impact fault is extracted. At the end of the dissertation, it gives the site test on the No.2 unit of ZaoHe pumping station as an example, and vibration status of pump shaft is analyzed by use of the system.
