The problem of the environmental pollution and the deficiency of petroleum resources is very serious in automotive industry.Hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) employing two power sources-fuel combustion. The new technology for the vehicle. City public transit is very crowed,and stop frequently ,has slow driving speed and extremely serious pollution . City bus has fixed traveling line and regular run time normally Under this kind of condition,the emission and the fuel economy of conventional transit bus are bad .But Hybrid Electric Vehicle can just develop its advantages.HEV has more components than conventional vehicle,so it increases weight and volume.But it has less influence on big transit bus than on car.So many experts think the Hybrid electric vehicle will realize its industrialization. The Ministry of Science and Technology of China has also set the development of HEVs and HEV components as one of the most important sub-projects in the 863 Program .Jilin University shoulder one of the 863 projects-the development of Hybrid Electric Vehicle,togther with an automobile manufacturer ,another –the development of control system of hybrid electric bus powertrain,alone. The thesis is about control algorithm and simulation software of paralled hybrid electric vehicle in this article.1.The control algorithm of paralled hybrid power train In this part,the thesis introduces the control method of engine and motor.They are not only work well separately ,but also work together. Under the different power follow condition The control goal get the best economic and emission of the engine. In this paper ,the power follow control strategy restricts the engine working area near the best working curve.The best working curve is decided according to the efficiency and emission of the engine .At the same time the power follow control strategy restricts the switch frequency and fluctuation of engine working point in the appropriate range .Futhermore ,the power of the engine follows the power request of power bus ,and the batteries merely take the role of balancing the output power of engine and the input power of the motor ,so the batteries avoid the adverse working pattern of deep charging and deep recharging .And the State Of Charge (SOC)of the batteries can be maintain on the steady level,it is propitious to the continuous run of HEV.2. Parametric design of Paralled HEV component In this part ,the thesis is introduced the parametric design of paralled HEV component. The demand of design is satisfying the power require and the best economy.With advisor as a desktop ,the paper studies the influence of the component parameters and control parameters,after analyzing on the results of parametric design. This conclusion can be reach that the parameters designed by the author are feasible.By the test of the CBDBUS and NewYorkBUS ,the fuel economy of HEV is better than conventional bus,and the emission of HEV is less than the conventional bus.3. The study on the simulation software used by HEVIn this part, with the help of Matlab/Simlink , the simulation software can be used by the development of hybrid powertrain controller.The author develop the software of the CHEV2004.This software is designed in Matlab/Simlink and GUI .It is forward engineering software.
