In the dissertation, the main points of the author's study are on ultrasonic location of transformer partial discharge. The major achievements of the study can be listed as follows: Studying the fading characteristic of ultrasonic in transformer. Demonstrating that in area III the earliest received ultrasonic signals are propagating through the same compound paths in different discharge tests under the condition of keeping the sensor fixed and the discharge model are stable based on the theory of modal acoustic emission. Coming up with a practical locating method of transformer partial discharge. Developing a measuring and locating system of transformer partial discharge based on LabVIEW platform. The system achieves better results by testing. The data of the tests and the experiments have positively demonstrated the validity of the analysis in the dissertation and confirmed the credibility of the conclusions as well, which, somehow, will be of some value and significance in terms of theory and practice.Wang qing(Power system and its automation)Directed by prof.
