Condenser is a very important equipment of fossil power plant, but there are many deficiencies in it's capability examining. Data fusion is a rising study, and it will be more and more popular. In this paper the data fusion methods are used in the cleanliness measuring and fault diagnosis of condensers, and the large errors of the local signals are settled by division estimation-based method. Another new fault diagnosis method, hierarchical data fusion is analyzed in the paper. First of all, the omens of fault are fused by neural network and distance estimate; secondly, the transformed outputs of them are used as the inputs of D-S evidence theory, and the answer shows that the method can correct the shortcomings of some existent methods.
