This paper describes during the construction of the power plant with a per unit capacity of 600MW, how to select the lifting and erection techniques of the key equipment practically and objectively according to mechanical capacity of the construction company and the current situation of our domestic power plant construction. The paper illustrates the lifting and erecting methods of the key equipment in Dingzhou power plant. The methods selection was on bases of detailed strength, stability and loading capacity calculating of the original structural columns and beams. According to the calculating result, some necessary reinforcing to the columns and beams was made and some necessary assistant measures were designed and verified.
