The No.3 steam turbine of Puyang Thermal Power Station was made in Haerbin, China, whose type is C50-8.83/0.118. After being used, when it running at 3000r/min speed, the vertical amplitude of No.3 bearing reach 140μm, the horizontal amplitude of No.5 and No.6 bearing reach 140μm, This influenced the safety seriously of the unit operation. To settle the fault, the author use"the vibrating fault diagnosis system of turbo-generator unit based on Kohonen network" do a some Vibration tests .With the diagnosis software of the paper and the testing data, the author find out the cause of the No.3 unit's fault. The amplitude of No.3 and No.5, and No.6 reached good standard. This also shows that the software has important supervising meaning for site fault diagnose.
