Abstract: Xiao wan hydroelectric installation locate in the boundary between Nanjian County and Fengqing County of the western of YunNan province .The height of dam is 292 m,and its installed capacity is 4,200,000 kilowatt,so it's a large-scale water-power engineering.The height of excavation reach to 80 m.So it is sure,that the excavation will influence on the stability of the slop.The stability of the slop is the necessary condition to assure the trouble-free operation of the station.This thesis expound the area geologic environment of the station and the engineering geologic environment of the slop.This thesis do a lot of survey and analysis about the structure of the rock mass and the destroyed phenomenon of the slop.lt analyse the formation of the destruction and expound the model of the destruction of the slop.On the basis of the analysis of the monitoring data,it expound the influence of excavation to the stability of the slop. It analyse the stability with numerical simulation.Finally,on the basis of geological estimation and analysis of the monitoring data and the numerical simulation,it conclude:(1) Through the tracking investigation of the deformation phenomenon,and the study of the rock mass constructure of the slop,it determine the mode of the formation and destruction on the basis of aggregate analysis of the monitoring data.(2) Through two-dimesional numerial simulation of the typical profile,it analyse the stress state and the displacement state before excavation and after excavation.It conclude that the deformation of the slop is driving to finish..(3) Through three-dimensional numerial simulation of the slop,the incidence of the excavation is determined.The result of the simulation forecast the stability of the slop. And the result indicate that the deformation of the slop is driving to finish.(4) Through the limiting equilibrium calculate for the typical profiles the result indicate that the resistance to overturning of the slope is good.
