The method of detecting high speed target discussed in this thesis is mainly applied in providing the accuracy of airborne ordnance deliveries to a target on a bombing range in airforce bomb trainings. In terms of detecting high speed target, the methods of Radar, infra-red detection, passive acoustic detection and video inspection have respective disadvantages in the field of detecting small falling targets in relatively near range. So a new method with high detecting precision, fast responding and lower cost is in demand. To satisfy it, this thesis put forward a new method based on intersection measurement of stereo vision and discussed three detection modes -the horizontal mode, the straight line fitting mode and the parabolic curve fitting mode. In addition, error analysis and compare of the three modes were made. At last, MATLAB simulation experiment and apparatus experiment were carried out to verify that the intersection measurement system can control the error of detecting high speed target within ±1m from 1km away. Work included in the thesis is:Three detection modes based on the theory of intersection measurement of stereo vision were put forward in this paper;Detailed error analysis of the three detection modes was made;Detection software was compiled which realized the functions of data receiving, computing coordinates and real-time report and constructed friendly man-machine interface;MATLAB simulation experiment and simple apparatus experiment were carried out.The method of intersection measurement of stereo vision has theadvantages of simple system, high detection precision, high speed and easy operation, etc. It will have good application foreground and great importance in high speed target detection.
