After power system is unbundled, the management mode of reactive power is changed. Therefore, the model of reactive power optimization is studied in this paper.The mathematical model of reactive power optimization is a complex nonlinear planning problem. This paper solves the problem by using a modified immune genetic algorithm, which is a mixed optimal strategy. In this paper, a set of vaccine is formed based on reactive power optimization in electricity market The proposed algorithm is applied to the IEEE 30-bus system.
