The semantic analysis of Natural Language Understanding withinproducts-designing domain is researched here and the semantic processing of verbgroups is its emphasis. Also, it has been applied to the requirement analysis ofmachine clamps for the purpose of improving the automation and intelligence of themechanical design. At first, the necessity and feasibility of researching and designing the NLUsystem within domains is discussed. Second, the present methods of KnowledgeExpressing are evaluated and the conceptual dependency tree, a new way to expressthe knowledge of domanial natural language is put forward. Third, the presentsemantic analysis methods are balanced and the conceptual dependency theory ischosen as the foundation of the semantic analysis of the paper. Later, the semanticframe of domanial natural language is summarized and the thought of semanticanalysis based on event is brought forward with verb groups as its center. At the sametime, the semantic process of simple sentences, some complex sentences, events andnouns with event properties are studied in detail. At last, the semantic analysis isapplied to the design of the Man-machine interface in machine clamps. Meanwhile, the knowledge database and some rules of semantic analysis of events are establishedand it runs well after debugging. It is hopeful to realize the computer-aided userrequirement analysis.
