| The discovery of C60 has caught the scientists' attention broadly. Till now, all kinds of modality of C60 has always been the hotspot in science researching and exploring for the new capability & new function materials. It has also got the high recognition by many governments and science & technology groups all over the world due to many new discoveries being found during the researching, and the research is getting more and more deep now. In this article, the discovery, synthesis, purification, characteristic, present research situation about C60 were introduced completely and reviewed systemly. The study takes aim at investigation on the growth and characteristics of textured C60 film. We have been fabricated {111} textured film on the fluorophlogopite single crystal.The C60 power used in this study was synthesized via by a special procedure it's purity is more than 99.9%. Textured C60 film was achieved by HW technology. Entirely <111> oriented textured C60 film on the fluorophlogopite substrate was grown by the optimum process condition. Optimum process condition is 150~160℃ substrate temperature and sublimating C60 power at 400 癈 temperature under 10-5~10-6Torr pressure.X-ray diffraction patterns. IR and Raman spectrum of C60 film is determined. Structural characteristic of textured C60 film is discussed. The results indicates that C60 film is fcc structure, lattice a=14.17A, the film with tendency towards a <111> orientation, there aren't inpurity and other phases in the film, polyreaction wasn't observed among the molecules. At room temperature the IR spectrum of the C60 film shows the four strong lines at 526cm-1, 576cm-1, 1182 cm-1 and 1428 cm-1. Raman spectrum of the C60 film shows three strong lines at 1426 cm-1, 1468 cm-1 and 1572 cm-1 .The surface structure and crystalline grain morphology of C60 film have been determined by SEM and AFM. SEM and AFM studies show that surface of the C60 film is very flat, arrangement of crystalline grain is even, morphology of C60 crystal is sharp. The studies confirm that textured C60 film is a two dimensional nucleation and layer-by-layer growth mechanism. |
