Along with the development of technology of automobile, people hope that the automobile is more comfortable, safer, and more environmentally friendly. Today the governments of various countries have made a series of regulations, which have more and more strictly request in flue consumption and exhaust emissions. In order to meet those demands, each automobile manufacturer has adopted a lot of new technology, such as weight reduction, lean burn engine, decreasing the firing of cylinders and using lower the idling speed. When getting the benefit of those technologies, there are some side effects. These technologies often lead to undesirable vibration in a new vehicle.In order to maintain an acceptable level of noise and vibration performance, the key way is to optimize the engine mount system to prevent the vibration transmitted into car body. Therefore, the energy to vibrate the shell of body will be diminished. Now all manufacturers in the world pay more attention to the development of engine mount, especially corporations in Japan and Korea. While using traditional powerplant mount can not get satisfy performance, people hopes to cut down the vibration of engine by using active control method, and then reduce the vibration and noise in the car, also reduce the noise pollution to the environment. At present many motor corporation and R&D institution fall over each other and invest heavy funds to study active control mount, with the hope of improve the vibration characteristics of vehicle.Active control vibration is that measuring the vibration situation of the structure by a sensor, then producing a control signal in the controlling module, magnifying the signal in power and making the actor to produce reaction to disappear or weaken the vibration transfer from the vibration source. As a illustration of vibration active control, the powerplant vibration active control can use motor rotational speed, the powerplant vibration speed or acceleration, etc,asAbstractrefer signal, which is direct relevant or indirect relevant with the engine vibration. Then the controller compute is used to produced the signal of controlling. Magnified by a power amplification, the controlling signal is used to drive a actuator to produce reaction force which is opposite with vibration transferred form engine, which can weak the vibration and noise transmitted into the body and the cab.This paper proceed from above-mentioned principles, an active control mount used electrostrictive actuator is designed. We try to find a suitable control method to isolate the vibration of engine, which can minimize the force transmitted into the body. The main content in the article includes:1 Based on large amount of internal and external thesis, the history of powerplant mount have been discussed. The representative structures of different type mount have been introduced, and the advantage and disadvantage of different type mount have been list. From the history of mount, we can know that there is an trend to use active control or simi-active control means to get a good performance. Using modern electron method, the electrical machinery and intelligent material technology, the operating mode of the mount can be adapted to the change of environment. Then the powerplant will have good vibration performance in all frequency range where engine worked. In addition it can meet some request which maybe self-contradictory to the tradition passively.2 The advantage and disadvantage of piezoelectrical actuator and electrostrictive actuator is observed. For stimulated by the same driving voltage, electrostrictive materials can got a larger displacement, the electrostrictive materials is choosed to making actuator used in this paper. Study The characteristics of electrostrictive materials is studied, the key factor which influence actuator's performance is found out, and then on the physical model and electricity model is build up, at last, the physical parameter of actuator is measured by experiment.3 Some method that oft...
