The methods of temperature field measurement in boiler in large coal-fired power plant are summarized. The drawbacks of traditional methods are found, and a new measurement technology, acoustic pyrometry, is proposed. The main principle is introduced, and the relationship between speed of sonic wave and media temperature is deduced. The great merits and existing questions of acoustic pyrometry are shown. The system structure is analyzed, and the reconstruction algorithms are studied. A new algorithm based on parabola model is given, by which the three dimensional display and the isothermal contour are drawn, and the temperature distribution of the boiler cross-section is realized. The algorithm is simulated by mathematic engineering software, MATLAB. According to error analysis, it is proved accurate and feasible.
