The thesis discusses wind turbine system's control system design and turbine's main running procedures first. Two models of large-scale wind turbine systems will be developed through mechanical modeling technique and system identification technique. Robust control systems are designed based on wind turbine's system mechanism model and robust regulator theory. The designed control system can maintain the closed loop stability and zero steady state error, when the plant parameter varying in a certain range. Based on the identified model, a two-degree-freedom IMC PID control system is designed which can ensure the system's dynamic performance and robustness, when the system is mismatched or disturbance exists.
