In order to improve the lower condenser's vacuum and the turbine's output, which are due to the unreasonable design of condenser's exhaust passage in 300MW turbine, modification of exhaust steam passage is provided by simulation experiment, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation.The model of exhaust passage has been made in the light of simulation theory and the flow field distribution at the condenser throat and the exhaust passage as well were obtained by experiments and PHOENICS software with different retrofits and different inlet velocities. While exhaust passage's loss coefficient the condenser's terminal temperature difference were calculated. The results show that the exhaust passage's loss coefficients increase scarcely and the condenser's terminal temperature differences decrease largely at different retrofits, which conform to the industrial experiment.
