Research On Regional Its Architecture

ITS is a new transportation system which is tranditional transportation systemwith high technology resulting to informationization, intelligentization, andsocialization. ITS architecture is a direction framework for ITS planning andconstruction in many countries. Also, it is an important way to criterion ITSdevelopment. This paper focuses on some key issues of ITS architecture research:previous studies on ITS architecture are reviewed, national ITS architecture researchand studty, the concept of regional or local ITS architecture and methodology ofdeveloping regional architecture, the primary design of regional architecture assistantdeveloping system. Firstly, the thesis summarizes ITS essential nature and changes bringing totraffic.Based on a lot of documents and the framework architecture of USA, European,and Japan,this paper introduces the high-level contents of USA, Europe, and Japan'sarchitectecture and expounds the origin and concept of ITS architecture, which is thereference for the following chapters. Secondly, based on our National ITS architecture (first version),the thesissummarizes the design objective of national ITS architecture and illustrates how touse the process-oriented methodology to develop our national ITS architecture.Thispaper also presents the contents of our National ITS architecture from userservice,logical architecture and physical architecture perspectives,and introduced thesoftware tools: ITSA-CAS developed by National ITS Center,which can manage thedata flows and assist to develop different levels of architecture. This chapter providesthe platform for the studies of methodology of regional ITS architecture in thefollowing chapters. Thirdly, this thesis gives the concepts of regional architecture , presents theimportant roll in regional ITS planning and constructions, and also analyses therelationship between national and regional architecture. The National ITS I北京工业大学硕士学位论文Architecture is a good source for functional requirements that may be selectively usedin a regional ITS architecture.After clearing the essential concepts,the paper presentstwo methodologies of developing regional architectecture:general method ofdeveloping ITS architecture and based on our National architecture method.And thisthesis also gives advices about which method we should use to develop ourframework architecture in short-term and long-term. Fourthly, this thesis introduces the U.S. regiolal architecture assistant developingtools-Turbo architecture and how to use the software tools to develop regionalarchitecture. Although Turbo Architecture does not directly support functionalrequirements specification, it does provide several related features that may be of use.After the analysis of Turbo architecture's modules in detail,based on the methodologyof developing regional architecture presented in front,this paper gives out the primarydesign of regional architecture assistant development tools. Lastly, this thesis cites the project of "Jiangsu Provincial ITS architecture andplanning" to illustrate how to use the method presented in the thesis to develop aregional ITS architecture and meets different level needs of regional ITS .
