Researches On The Application Of Decision Supporting System In Pumping Station Renovation

Abstract: Pumping Station(PS) plays the importantly basic role in agricultural production in China. But according to the recent year's results of general surveys and investigations, most of pumping stations have lagged behind, or have had something wrong with the equipments in the technological conditions, therefore there comes the renovation peak of pumping station. Since PS renovation is a systematical engineering involving multi-subject fields, the renovation engineering is more difficult, if there are the shortages of fund and time for renovation.Based on the present status of PS renovation in China and the application achievements of advanced techniques in the same field in foreign countries, the decisive effect of decision making for pumping station renovation in pumping station renovation engineering has been expounded, moreover, using the DSS wildly used in the modern management to aid the decision making of pumping station renovation can solve the difficult problems during the PS renovation, reduce the blindness and inaccuracy. By analyzing the nature of PS renovation problems, and researching on the procedures, principles and techniques of PS renovation, not only the necessities but also the feasibilities of developing the pumping station renovation DSS has been elucidated. The structure of old system and its advantages and disadvantages have been analyzed in this paper, from the practical needs, pumping station renovation DSS, which is of the more functions, has been designed and realized. This system possesses the friendly interface, and stronger knowledge reasoning ability and preliminary self-study ability with the bases of database and model base, the new functions which the old system doesn't have, have been realized. The system has avoided the wholly renovation of the old equipments in the renovation scheme, while meeting the needs of renovating plan, the cost of pumping station renovation has been reduced. The real supporting of decision making has been provided for pumping station renovation. It has shown in practice that this system has highly actual value.
