The Research Of Data Commuication Between CMM And The Platform Of Manufature Information

Coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is a kind of three dimensions measuring equipment. It not only can measure complicated workpiece, but also can act as the important part of feedback control of whole manufacturing system. Based on the integrated technology of CAD/CAM, CAT is integrated fatherly. That is, geometry information of CAD models is utilized directly, which is the foundation of coordinates system and spatial position. According to this information, the measure path will be layout, and then coordinate measuring machine will be driven. Along with the CIMS advance, coordinate measuring machine has become a part of the platform of manufacture information as the effective means of quality inspection, and at the same time product data need to be shared. Therefore, taking example for ORACLE, the author research on the interface between CMM and large-scale database. The character of CMM and the advance of manufacture information are combined, this project brings forward the integral thinking that unites the Design- Inspection- Data manage. In this project, theory research and practice development are combined. CMM and other parts of manufacture platform are oriented, man-machine interaction driven is realized through developing AutoCAD. In additional, dynamically data exchange between CAD and CMM has been realized by DDEtechnology. The data communication between CMM and ORACLE database is researched deeply, and is realized in a project. Simulation and testing prove that data communication is feasible between CMM and the platform of manufacture information.
