The Studies And Practices Of Reconstruction Of Traditional Local Houses

The traditional local houses are being challenged by modern civilization, so the needs for improving residential environment and the pattrern of the houses are urgent, and the reconstruction of local houses has become and inevitable problem. The major point of this thesis is to explore the feasibilities of the reconstruction of local houses in a systematic and theoretical way, so as to direct the practice. It aims at finding a practical way in reconstructing the local houses according to the conditions of our country.The whole thesis is devided into two parts. In the first part, according to the analysis of the different attitude toward traditional local houses and the factors and features of reconstruction of the local houses, the prerequisites of reconstructing the local houses are listed. And in the second part, considering of the reconstruction of Zhengduo Village of Miao nationality in Rongshui, Guangxi, a step is made forward in exploring and trying the effective way of reconstructing the local houses, and studied the architecture culture of Miao nationality. At the end of the thesis, the experiences and deficiencies of the reconstruction in Zhengduo village are analysed, and the problem is considered in the light of the enlightments during the reconstruction. It is emphasized that the reconstruction of traditional local houses has special characters at different stages in the history, and it is unscientific and unrealistic to treat the reconstruction of local houses only with one theory or the possessed experiences. It is still necessary to further discuss theoretically and practice the way of reconstructing the traditional local houses.
