A small size and low pressure ratio axial-ventilator with the high rotating speed has been designed in this paper for the special requirement of project. At first, the primary design on the ventilator is finished with the aid of the isolated wing section theory. Secondly, the radial equilibrium equations are solved on the S2 stream surface in order to evaluate and modify the primary design results. Then the three-dimensional N-S equations are solved with the help of Denton code, and the flow field within the whole axial-ventilator is obtained. According to the computational results, the distribution on main performance parameters could be showed. Finally, the axial-ventilator manufactured with the design results has been tested according to the fan test national standard published in 1987. The agreement between the experimental results and design performance indicates that the axial-ventilator designed by the author can meet the requirement of project and the design method set up by the author is successful. |
