With the development of computer, micro-electronics and automation control technology, the intelligent servo-control technology has progressed rapidly and thus greatly impulsed the digital and intelligentized alteration for the traditional automatic measurement & control instruments and meters based on intelligent servo-operators. This, while possess the servo-operator an increased important role in automation control area, has strongly requested it to advance further and quickly, especially for its capability to control more precisely in real time, easy to operation and multi-function. Focused on such developing requests and tendency, and by fully applying such advanced technologies as microcomputer measurement & control, micro-electronics, automation control theory, the paper has set up a microcomputer-based intelligent servo-operation system with remote communication ability. Its main traits are as follow:The system is an intellectualized digital servo system based on microcomputer measurement & control technology. It integrates the functions of servo amplifier, dynamic operator, position transmitter and remote communication. Many new functions have added to its original ones, such as the real-time logical judgment, malfunctions self-diagnosis, alarm &protection, LED display, on-line setting and adjustment of functional parameter and position transmitter, power-absence data auto-protection, Watchdog system protection, and the long-range communication with PC. Moreover, it offers such features as miniaturization, convenience, high reliability and acuteness, precise orientation and tracking. It can solely or jointly apply to all kinds of industrial automatic control and is widely used to intelligentize varied industrial automatic equipments as electric valves and actuators, etc. In general, the designed system has well met the developmental demand on intelligenzation, miniature, multi-function, high quality/valve rate.Firstly, the paper proposes the system's general functions and total design scheme according to the present and future measurement & control demand from industry worksite. Then the paper introduces detail by detail the software and hardware for thesystem's functional modules, mainly including: the signal acquisition and processing, motion detection & control of servomotor, system fault monitor &control, keyboard management and display, optimal design of position transmitter. At the time, it expounds the distributed master/slave communication network based on RS485 bus, which allows the distributed intelligent servo-operators to unit conveniently with PC located in the total industry control system, thus realize optimization of distributed control and concentrated management. After repeated simulation tests, improvement and optimization, now the whole intelligent servo-operation system has run in the practical worksite and gained many appraises for its high reliability, high sensitivity, easy operation and strong anti-interference.
