The key measure recommended to introduce interflow of population, commodities, funds and information is to create a seashore city with individual features and characteristics . There are problems of construction in seashore cities which result from insufficient study and unscientific planning, though efforts have been made in the development of such cities. Some lessons should be learned from the result of building "representative" squares and high-rise with an purpose of erecting image of so-called "big cities". But ignoring the city context continuity and ecology development, which has a harmful influence upon cities' scenery .Part two discusses basic principles of aesthetics of creating formal beauty of seashore cities. Mastering such aesthetics principles as scale, level, texture, balance, movement trend, color etc in the field of visual art and using them in designs for urbanscenery provide a basic aesthetical foundation for the planning case--the designs forHongkou, a seashore district in Yantai.Part three combines with outstanding design from home and abroad and puts forward the designing theory and methods of creating an image of " beautiful" seashorecities --taking pains to foster representative spot as well as characteristicallyspace, erecting representative building and creating elegant city skyline, exploiting intension of traditional culture and continuing conventional context in the period of renewal. The skills mentioned above bring about continuity of environmental image in time and space, and help the city designs based on formal beauty deepen to urban culture.Part four introduces actual practice of the theory mentioned in the above parts in the design for Hongkou district , through the analyses of recession causes and re-development potential of Hongkou district, a master plan is then raised with a view to creating a new image of seashore city of Yantai which will reveal culture and vigor of it. |
