This paper carries out thorough analysis and research mainly around some major technical problems of high effciency and high starting-torque permanent magnetism synchronous motor(PMSM), and according to the design principle of this kind of motor, we design and develop a XTD132S-4 PMSM, and aim at actual condition, we have put forward the design principle that solves generator and the measure of problem. The content of this paper can divide into some following parts: Introduces the basically theoretical and design characteristic of the efficient synchronous motor of permanent magnetism mainly, then around the author XTD132S-4 PMSM, sum up design principle and performance characteristic. The analysis and study on the dynamic efficiency of PMSM performing under the various loads. The influence of machine's parameters on dynamic efficiency and dynamic power factor is studied; this has significant meaning for design of PMSM applied in the various load fields.The theoretical analysis and FEM calculation fo air-gap magnetic field of PMSM is done. The air-gap harmonic magnetic field and its effect on the iron losses are analyzed; then the design rules to reduce the harmonics and the iron losses are presented; at last, the sine or approximate sine air-gap magnetic field is constructed with non-homogenous air-gap, and the non-homogeneous air-gap function is presented.Combined with the peuliarity of PMSM, the PMSM starting-torque and starting-current are studied, analyze why we chose such a rotor's slot, at the same time, generalize how to calculate the resistance of the rotor.
