With the continuous development of city constructions and the wide exploitation of gas fuel resources, the town gas has been used more and more widely in our country, while the fire and explosion accidents of town gas have increased a lot correspondingly. There are more and more underground pipe in the city. Therefore , the reliability of gas pipe net-work system has been more important. In this thesis , maths of reliability including probability and statistics are adopted in the gas pipe net-work system. Then mathematical model of net-work ability character is established and verified the safety of some middle city gas pipe net-work. Base on the comprehensive utilization of many references and deep investigations and researches , the fault tree analysis is used in the large-scale industrial consumers. Qualitative analysis and quantitative calculation for the consumers are made. At last, suggestion is put forward to improve the reliability.
