Because of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle's (UAV) merit which Manned Aerial Vehicle doesn't have, there is a big market of military and commerce field. Correspondingly, the Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS), as the UAV's key technology, has developed greatly. The common UAV needn't have high maneuverability but have higher static stability, so the research of AFCS of high static stability UAV has the currency and practicability. And the paper put forward a micromation and low-cost scheme based on GPS navigation.Firstly, the paper introduce the process of design the UAV AFCS, which use the test of model fly to confirm the control principle parameter. The paper analyzes the theory of system and control principle and advises the design principle.Secondly, the stability of designed AFCS is analyzed and an amalgamation control mode of damper and stability augmentation control system is put forward in the paper. The design and implement of control principle is the core. The control principle of airspeed keeping, altitude keeping, course keeping and swerve control is analyzed, too.At the following, the paper introduces the correlation technology of hardware and software. Then describe the process of design and implement. On the aspect of hardware, we select appropriate sensors and components, and design simulative circuit, digital circuit and PCB. On the aspect of software, we design the controlprocess of RC mode and UAV mode, and discuss the implement ways of digital interface module. Finally, the paper summarizes the system capability of designed UAV's AFCS. And discuss few idea of in-depth research.
