Due to the severely increasing energy crisis, and the power cost of the circle-mechanical test-bed is only 10% of it while comparing with the open-mechanical test-bed, so circle-mechanical gearbox test-bed is widely used. The loader is a important apparatus which is used in testing all kinds of function parameter of gearbox and loader produced by fatigue test in the circle-mechanical test-bed. This paper mainly researches the position of the motor and the loader, the optimum design of loader by using optimum methods after carefully reading a lot of articles about the state and the abroad of the optimum design and power flow and incorporating the characteristics of test loader, in order to complish the minimum of actual generalization cost.Firstly, this paper synthetically introduces the state and the abroad of all kinds of forms, design ideas and the present research conditions device of gearbox test and the loader, clarifies the direction and the content of research of lesson in the field.Secondly, according to the theory of power flow, the positions of the motor and the loader are aimed as study targets, we find that the different arrangements of motor and loader greatly influence the motor's minimal capacity and the loader's minimal loading torquet. By certifying, the power needed is minimal and the torque is maximal when the motor and loader are put at the end of the power flow.Thirdly, the research of hydraulics helical loader optimum design is not very more at present, according to the working theory of hydraulics helical loader to analyse the design of loader; Meeting to the using conditions at present and the altering needs, this paper analyses the feasibility of the design and finds that the weight optimum design is feasible. At the same time of analysing the importantly optimum target, the numerical model of optimum design is attained.Fourthly, after introducing the popularly optimum calculating methodsystem at present, this paper mainly discusses the principal theory ,the optimum steps and the working program of two optimum methods which are suitable to the optimum loader model, discusses the advantages, disadvantages and applicability of the two methods and builds the bases for the choice of the optimum methods and the program making.At last, based on the Windows2000 operation system, the soft wrap of optimum design of the hydraulics helical loader is explored by using the language VB6.0. Under the rated power and rated speed of the testing gearbox, this system can design with lots of optimum methods and get optimum result. And more, the system has the functions of checking and calculating the attained results, getting the part drawings of relative parts and basic dimensioned. The whole system has friendly human-computer interface. It is easy for the users to operate, it is clear for the users to observe and it offers a help system .
