The Metal Belt Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is a kind of ideal transmission. Compared with routine hydraulic-mechanic transmission, it has many merits, such as excellent performance, compact structure, convenient handling and low price and so on. Therefore, it has been used widely. In our country, as one of the key projects, it has been developed and researched.The paper gives simulating research to the general transmission control of the Metal Belt CVT, the following work has been made:(1) The structure, characteristic, work principle and actuality of the Metal Belt CVT has been introduced(2) On the basis of dealing with experimental data to 495G engine, the engine model including torque model, oil consumption model and the rotate speed adjusting model isestablished. During the course of modeling, a new measure named reticulation approximation is given. It can be used to process data.(3) After establishing the engine model, in order to meet the need of study, the economics speed changing line and the dynamics speed changing line are given too.(4) The ratio control policies of different work conditions are analyzed(5) Electronic-hydraulic control system has two loop project: single pressure loop and double pressure loop. The paper choice the first one, aimed at the selected project, modeling and simulating work to the transmission system of CVT are accomplished.(6) In different conditions, the work patterns of engine are different too. In order to judge the work pattern of engine, the NN(Neuron Net) named BP(back propagation) net is designed.
