Repowering the old power plant by Gas Turbine Combined Cycle (GTCC), which can enhance the using efficiency of energy, reduce the consumption of energy, save investment because of using the existed equipments and take effect rapidly. Two kinds of representative CC-Repowering (feed water heating repowering, full firing repowering) are study in this paper. The concise performance expressions and typical data are analyzed for the combined cycle and for repowering the existed steam power station. The expressions and figures shown in this paper are valuable to the preliminary feasible analysis for these types combined cycle. This paper gives an example that is a project about repowering 2×50MW coal-fired plant as combined cycle. It is found out that after full firing repowering, the absolute efficiency gain is 4.62% and after feed water heating repowering, the absolute efficiency gain is 2.78%.
