In this paper,the low-temperature synthesis method-Sol-gel mehtod wasused to improve the capacity fading of the cathode with cycling for lithium-ion secondary battery. On the basis of the synthesis of pure spinel LiMn2O4,different doping methods were attempted to increase the cycling property of the spinel LiMn2O4. At the same time,a modified calcination method was first put forward,that is,after the first calcination,additional annealing was enforced. By the use of the thermal analysis,XRD,partical size,specific surface area and electrochemical measurement,the structure and performance of the product were studied,and the synthesis process was optimized by comparing structure and performance with one another.The dependence of structure and electrochemical performance of spinel LiMn2O4 on the pH value,chelant and its quantity,calcination temperature and calcination time was studied . The spinel LiMn2O4 was synthesized using three kinds of chelants (citric acid,esterfication resultant of citric acid and ethylenglycol,PAA). The result shows that PAA as chelate is better than former two,under the condition of pH value of 2-3,the molar ratio of about 1.4:1 ( PAA / metal ion),calcination temperature of about 550C,and calcination time of about lOh,the product has good electrochemical performance .By means of Sol-gel method using PAA as chelant,the Li1+xMn2O4(0
