Study On The Prevention Treatment And Repairing Of Failure Of Cement Concrete Pavement

The total length of cement concrete pavement in servering is about more than 100000km in China. Nowadays, A certain a mount of cement concrete pavement is also being built still. The using performance of cement concrete road is not so satisfied. The failures are very significant in many roads.In this paper the wreckage status of the cement concrete pavement of expressway of Hubei and the main highways hi Xiangfan are investigated and studied. The investigating results show that the type of the failure is very similar. The ratio of breaken plank of cement concrete pevement is usually high. The spurt slush and the bumping at bridgehead are very serious. In common condition, corner fracture, abutment staggering, bumping up with pothole is a relatively common phenomenon.The failures are classified as two types, failure between two plates and failure in a board. This classifying method is based on the position and the cause of wreckage. The mechanism of the wreckage is studied deeply. The prevention method of wreckage of cement concrete pavement hi design and construction control is proposed.The repairing methods of the cement concrete pavement are classified as four types: full depth replacing, crack casting surface covering and grout pouring. The repairing method and process and materials are studied. The effect of the repairing is also studied.Rapid repairing materials take a great amount. In this paper, choosing principle of the materials are discussed and the matching index of the old concrete and the repairing materials are also expounded. The rapid repairing materials are classified as three categories: rapid hardening cement, rapid hardening concrete and rapid repairing agent. The behaviors of the materials have been given deep studies in both lab and engineering.
