The technique of reinforced earth has been wildly used in many countries. In this field, plenty of practice has been acted and theory studies have been developed. However, the designation and calculation theories of reinforced earth have lagged behind the practice because of the complexity of reinforced mechanism. They can be explained as follows:Firstly, the studies of the project characteristic of reinforced material is less. In the project of reinforced earth, tension properties and interface properties on reinforced material are very important because they will determine the effective of reinforcement. There have been much more results about the tension and interface test on geotextile, but the testing result on new reinforced materials such as geogrid is lacking.Secondly, there are much more studies on reinforced wall, but less on the reinforced slope, whereas, the study of reinforced cushion is much lacking.Basing on the realities mentioned above, the contents of this paper are as follows:First, the paper is summarized the results of tension test on geosynthetics. Then the paper presents the contents and results of tension properties on uniaxial oriented geogrid, warp knitting geogrid, woven geotextile and unwoven geotextile.Second, the paper is collected and analyzed the study results of interface properties on reinforced material. Then the paper presents the contents and results of interface properties on uniaxial oriented geogrid, warp knitting geogrid, woven geotextile and unwoven geotextile placing in three different kinds of soils.Third, the paper is introduced and analyzed the calculation methods of bearing capability on reinforced foundation, then puts forward the calculation methods of bearing capability reinforced foundation. Then this method is verified by projects.Finally, the paper studies the application of reinforced cushion in melioration on building groundwork relying on the projects of Chao Tian City Gate and Lin Zhang City Gate.
