In this paper, the framework of measuring head of large diameter measurement system in multi-rolling-wheel method is designed by using the designing knowledge of precise mechanic, the knowledge of data processing and error correction and the method of the mathematical model fitting about measuring force and wheel deformation is described. The paper describes detailed design of all components of measuring head and through precision analysis expounds required precision to some important components, which affect the system's measurement precision directly. At the same time, the paper also describes the confirmation of experiments project, the design of experiments installation, the choice of some measurement instruments. After finishing the experiments, some important conclusions are obtained, which are beneficial to set up the mathematical model about measuring force and wheel deformation accurately and reliably.
