In power system, distribution station has many characteristics such as the most widest distributing, lots load loop, complex quality , high fault rate, etc. To improve reliability and economic benefit of power system, it is very important practical significance to realize automation of distribution station.With the development of information technology, automation system for distribution station is changing in many aspects such as structure, equipments, function, etc. All existing automation systems have their respective characteristics and fields in point. The thesis aims to bring forward a new-style structure that applies to unattended distribution station. It has some strongpoints and characteristic. The new-style system adopts some new techniques such as DSP and embeded system which give it more higher capability.Data controller in unit layer has been designed with TMS320F206 which provides reliably guaranteed in technology. The unit layer system adopts modularized structure which is flexible and unrestricted combination, so the new-style system has quite high application- configure ratio.Operating system for manager has been constructed successfully with reduced Linux kernel and MiniGUI which is a kind of minitype graph operating system for Linux. The storage space it occupied is so small that the system can take controler embedded with Flash drive as the manager, and the system's stability has been improved.The configurable structure of the manager's system software has been builted. Using a kind of integrative development environment named KDevelop, the system's GUI software has been designed. Taken example for line protection, the thesis analyses each type protection's characteristic and logic chart, and the protection software has been developed with the technique of shared function library for logical estimation.
