Underground engineering excavation will disturb strata and causes ground settlement. It is significant to study ground settlement caused by underground engineering excavation and to reduce adverse effect on existent facility.Geotechnic centrifuge model test technique utilizes the equivalence between centrifugal force field and gravitational field; model dimension dwindles into 1/n times of prototype' s, but the body force on the model increases n times. The strain and stress of model is equal to prototype' s, but the displacement of prototype is n times of model' s. Centrifuge model test possesses the unique advantage that it can externalize time effect while other model tests can' t. On basis of the principle of centrifuge model test, consolidation time is 1/n2 times of prototype' s, seepage time 1/n3 times of prototype' s. So centrifuge model test technique can be used to forecast consolidation and seepage condition of prototype.This thesis gets forecasting ground settlement of SK3+355 section of Shenzhen Metro DA~KE running tunnel after it is completed 6 months, also gets forecasting ground settlement of SK3+395 section after it is completed 15 months. Finally, the model test data are compared with the site measurement data. This thesis' s study has established a basis for studying consolidation, groundwater seepage and tunneling simulation.
