Though a classic one, the problem of beam on elastic foundation is still in the process of development with the coming forth of new foundation models, new analysis methods and computational means. At the same time, this problem is the basis of other studies about interaction between two dimensional structure (such asfoundation slab) and foundation. After acquainting myself with the research status with regard to beam on two parameter foundation about the computational method, mechanic performance, damage assessment, similitude theory, several aspects will be studied in this paper:(1) whereas most of the existed researches are based upon Winkler(one-parameter) foundation model, this paper discusses the computational methods of beam on two-parameter foundation, and compare the different methods with each other. Numerical simulation about section damage and voids under beam are carried through, and some numerical examples are used to explain the experimental phenomenon in Chap 2.(2) The static experiment about six geometry comparable elastic foundation beams is carried through, and the static trait of non- reinforcing steel bar concrete foundation beam is gained. In the qualitative point of view, the static comparability between geometry comparable elastic foundation beams is validated. The computational method investigated in this paper can also be validated through the experiment.(3) The study of dynamic test technique is carried through, and the easily neglected problem of sampling frequency settings is discussed. Some hypothesis in modal test are validated, which establish stable basis for the well and truly gaining structure modal information.(4) The modal information of beam before and after weighting is get through experiment. The damping matrix of the structure is also identified based upon the algorithm deduced in the paper.(5) Based upon numerical simulation, the effect of initial value and measure random error on back-analysis is discussed, and the first parameter and the second parameter of two-parameter model of the experimental field is identified using the experimental data.
