In the building area, the study of computer simulation technology comes into a new stage. With the help of control system software which is a powerful tool used to control the precision of construction , users can work more efficiently.Based on the control process of construction of concrete-filled steel-tube arch bridge with large span, we describe the design and implemental method of the control system software IABS 2000 which is developed specially for the construction control of concrete-filled steel-tube arch bridge with large span.There are mainly four units in IABS 2000:User Interface Unit, Pre-Processing Unit, FEM Calculation Unit and Post-Processing Unit. We emphasize explaining the Pre-Processing Unit and the Post-Processing Unit which are developed with ObjectARX.We induce the implemental process of developing the Pre-Processing Unit and the Post-Processing Unit with C++ language and MFC Visual-Programming technique. The Pre-Processing Unit and the Post-Processing Unit are programmed under ObjectARX environment which is provided by AutoCAD. Because the design of unit structure follows the construction and control process, the operation sequence of IABS 2000 is consistent with the construction steps. The commands defined in IABS 2000 are embedded into the command group of AutoCAD automatically so that the users can operate the commands with great facility. The database system in IABS 2000 was developed by the entity extension data technique. Because the structure information associates with the entity model directly, it is easy to read and save the datas and safe to manage them. With the MFC Visual-Programming technique, we developed friendly user interface for IABS 2000 and minimize the operation burden. In addition, we describe the development idea of mixed-language programming for the Pre-Processing Unit and the Post-Processing Unit and induce the link process between the Pre-Processing Unit, the Post-Processing Unit and the FEM Calculation Unit.
