According to the stress and displacement variational principle,the mixed variational equations are established from which the state equation is established.Thus,the theory of state space is combined with variational principle and the variational solutions are presented under arbitrary loads for transverse isotropic orthortropic bodies on general boundary conditions.Thick plates on Winkler's foundations are researched thoroughly. The variational solutions are presented for the thin moderately thick and thick laminates with four simple supported edges clamped edges on two opposite sides and simple supported edges on the other sides and unrestricted edges on two opposite sides and simple supported edges on the other sides.The solutions given satisfy continuous conditions between plies of the laminates. The foundation reaction,all the displacements and stress components can obtained.Numerical results are compared with exact solutions and those calculated by using SAPS or SAP84. |
