The paper analyzed the typical characteristics of the slope located in the dressing workshop of Chengchao iron-mine , based on its engineering geological conditions. Taking advance of the ultimate-equilibrium theory, calculating formulae are derived about stability coefficient of safety and slide-fissure plane angle, meanwhile a united formula of the various slice-divide method is developed. The slope' s stability coefficient of main sliding mass field is calculated about stability in the large. At the same time, the possible factors affected the failure of landslide' s stability were simulated by means of the finite element method, including loads of slope' s top, the digging in the toe of it and the karst cave of its bottom. Slide plane positionN how much various factors affected the slope's stability and major deformation field were determined by means of calculating and simulating. The reference with the vital engineering value is provided for the harness and the design of repel-slide pile.
