| In petroleum and petrochemical industries, rotating machinery constitute majority of the total equipment, many large-sized rotating machine such as steam-turbine, generator; centrifugal compressor and pump are all key equipment. Their performance play a great important role to safe processing, once they break down, it will cause great damage. So it is much more important to detect the problem in advance and eliminate the cause of trouble at the beginning, in order to reach the target above mentioned we must rely on vibration diagnosis. Vibration diagnosis will also provide crucial information for early identification of machinery problem and help us decide when machinery should be shut down and repaired before substantial loss of efficiency or costly damage due to a mechanical malfunction can occur.In this thesis, elementary knowledge and basic concept of vibration diagnosis are introduced, meanwhile, mechanism and identification features are laid emphasis on from which different mechanical problems can be analyzed. Identification feature is the basis to judge the cause of failures, however, the process of diagnoses is so complicated that the cause can not be judged only from the vibration identification.A practical method is proposed in this thesis about diagnosis of rotating machinery. In practice, many methods are adopted to diagnose mechanical problem, by means of these methods, the exactness of diagnosis is guaranteed and one can be verified by another or be a supplement.-2-Several mechanical problems of enter-material pump which occurred in recent years in Dushanzi petroleum and petrochemical industry are introduced and diagnosed. These examples show that vibration diagnosis is of great significance.In general, vibration diagnosis of rotating machinery is an effective and cost-cutting method. With the help of diagnosis, maintenance management will be changed over from planed maintenance system to predicated and preventive one. |
