In this paper, taking the rocket-assisted cartridge as the research object, systematic analyses and studies have been conducted on its ballistics characteristics. The whole ballistics is divided into three stages. Different ballistics models and tested data processing methods have been determined according to the different characteristics on each stage. Under such a condition this paper describes how to obtain the thrust function accordingly by adopting the multi-item fitting method and integrating with the 6D equation at the assisted stage by the rocket motor, and how to obtain the resistance coefficient by integrating Chapma-Kirk fitting method with the 4D equation at the muzzle stage without the assistance of the rocket motor and at the passive stage. Finally, the calculating programs of the processing method of the tested data by Doppler radar of the rocket-assisted cartridge have been programmed and the model of the data processing method and the reliability of calculation have been tested and proved by calculation of actual examples. The method can be used to deal with measuring velocity from Doppler radar of the rocket-assisted cartridge.
