Featured by its safety, indolence, immediacy and flexibility, the ultrasound diagnostic technology has become a very important part of modern diagnostic technology. Today ultrasound diagnostic technology has been widely used in the fields of clinical diagnosis, family planning and health care. The ultrasound diagnostic equipment using the technologies of digital scan conversion and digital beam forming is defined as the digital ultrasound diagnostic equipment. This dissertation mainly studies the high-performance digital scan conversion system applied in the digital ultrasound diagnostic equipment.This dissertation first discusses the two-dimension interpolation algorithm and coordinate rotation digital computer algorithm involved in the process of designing system. Then the paper particularly probes into the research and development of B-mode digital scan converter, M-mode digital scan converter and graphic circuitry in the digital scan conversion system. Furthermore, the dissertation also discusses the structure of the main-computer which is used to control the system states and the development of test software which is used to test the system functions. The hardware circuitry of the whole digital scan conversion system is realized through the complex programmable logic devices so as to improve stability, flexibility and real-time of the digital hardware circuitry. A high-performance digital scan conversion system is researched and developed.The digital scan conversion system developed is the most domestically advanced concerning both the performance and the technology. Besides applied in developed digital ultrasound diagnostic equipment by project group, the digital scan conversion system can be used as a reference for the digital circuitry system applied in other equipments.
