The Development Of Integrated Management System AM/FM/GIS In The Electric Power System

With the development of the national economy, the demand for the electric power resource is increasing rapidly. As the reliability and the service quality have been improved continually, the expense in the operation and maintenance must be cut down as far as possible. At the same time, each department is closely linked in the electric power system and need to comprehend real time information such as the status of the present facilities, the customer class, the electric quantity and so on. The traditional administrative mode and method has brought many inconveniences in the administration of the production technique, the analysis of the facility operation and the enquiry of data. Therefore, the electric power integrated management system based on GIS (Geographic Information System) is increasingly applied. The AM/FM/GIS dealt in the paper adopts the MAPVIEW and is based on C Language to program on the working station applied UNIX. Its database performance uses ORACLE. The definite mechanism is used to warrant the reliability, consistency and union of data. The paper expounds fundamental knowledge, status quo and development on GIS abroad and at home. The AM/FM/GIS system is introduced in detail. The scheme, the structure and the rudimental function of every part are described. The whole process is narrated on exploiting and carrying out not only facility design subsystem but also imitating operation subsystem. In the final part it sums up and provides some suggestion for perfecting the system.
