In this paper, two examples of cable pattern pre-stressed plane truss structure were selected, several problems were studied as following: 1. According to the characteristic of the structure of cable pattern pre-stressed plane truss, based on the common formulae of the analysis of random internal force, taking into account the randomicity of the cable, the randomicity of the pre-stress value and the load, the expectation and standard difference of every bar were calculated. 2. Based on two-phase design principal, the reliability of the pre-stressed plane truss structure designed by two-phase method is calculated and analyzed. 3. Based on three-phase design principal, the reliability of the pre-stressed plane truss structure designed by three-phase method is calculated and analyzed. 4. For local cable placed plane truss, the reliability influence by the pre-stress to each bar in the structure is analyzed. For different pre-stress value and different randomicity parameter of the cable rigidity, the bars of the lowest reliability and of the worse force endurance are calculated and compared. 5. For integral cable placed plane truss, the reliability influence by the pre-stress to the upside bars, underside bars and abdomen bars is analyzed. For different pre-stress value and different randomicity parameter of the cable rigidity, the bars of the lowest reliability and of the worse force endurance are calculated and compared. 6. The different influence by pre-stress to the structures designed by integral cable placement method and local cable placement method is compared.
