The furnace slagging has puzzled tangential-fifing utility boiler for a long time. In this thesis, a full model of furnace slagging has been introduced. Some problems in numerical simulation are analyzed and mended. Integrating full numerical simulation method of furnace with coal characteristic analysis, the paper makes a more complete prediction of furnace slagging. The aerodynamic field, gas temperature field and original ash layer temperature field are studied. In ordinary numerical simulation of tangential-firing boiler, the false diffusion in the exit of burners often affects the accuracy of simulation result. In this paper, the bounded high-order scheme is used in the full numerical simulation of boiler furnace, the calculating results are in agreement with the experimental data, and the false diffusion is reduced. The slagging model is used to study the furnace slag condition of DG670/140- 12 style boiler of Jingyuan power plant, Ganshu province. The slag reason obtained by numerical simulation is approximately consistent with boiler test, and provides theoretical basis for utility boiler improvement. The Fortran 90 language is used in the program design, the iteration time of single step is decreased, and required storage capacity is reduced. The practice of this simulation shows that the slagging model offers a relatively comprehensive prediction for furnace slag, and provides a forceful means for solving slag problem.
