| The fast development of automotive engineering has definitely promoted the innovation of the fuel level sensors, which can not only accurately reflect the fuel consumption but also prevent the engine from working in a wrong state. But nowadays, in the automotive industry, such problems are quite common that the life span of the sensors fails the reach the standard and there are few regulation for systematical design. Also, there are quite a few problems of customer service. Meanwhile, little attention is paid to the scientific research in this field. So, it is of great significance to design a floated fuel level sensor and conduct the experiment totally in a moving process. In this paper, the following things have been accomplished in designing and detecting a floated Fuel Level Sensor.Firstly, according to the working principle of the sensor and the manufacturing technique of the thick film circuit, the design standards are put forward, including the location of the testing point, the distribution and the gap of the electrode, the height of the resistor, the anchor points, and the designing requirement for the edge of the whole circuit. It systematically demonstrates the parallel structure of the thick film circuit with some parameter calculations. And it analyzes the material and structure of the mental contacts so as to get a promotion.Secondly, the manufacturing technique of the thick film circuit is improved. It analyzes the principle of the silk-screen printing, the original ingredients of the printing paste. Then it respectively sets up the examples of the printing theory and the paste deposition of the thick film. Based on the research of the reaction rate of the sulfide in petrol, the material is selected according to the ingredients of the paste of the thick film to make sure that the sensor will be accurately measured and can be used for a longer time. Meanwhile, specific trials have been conducted with the following technique under a sever control—sintering the resistance and the electrode, checking the resistance with laser and etc., so as to meet the designing standard.Thirdly, The overall scheme of full range dynamic detection of oil level sensor has been proposed. Full computer control testing reduse Human error,which includes the main driver design of hardware circuit and software system. The hardware circuit of the system completes the sensor signal acquisition circuit, data processing, storage, display circuit, power supply circuit, stepping motor circuit design. The software of detection system completes the design of the signal acquisition and analog digital conversion, single-chip data processing, PC serial communication, sensor data storage and display and so on.Fourth, The design of the host computer operating system for the sensor automatic detection. Because of different sensors design and test parameters are different, such as the number of detection points, the standard design values, etc. So with the virtual instrument technology to develop the computer system interface, all sensors detection parameters and control commands sent to the microcontroller, and receive lower position machine gathering data and analysis,curve drawing and test results are given in this paper. The detection method of the state of the sensor in the actual driving process is completely simulated, which has the most practical significance. In this paper, the three aspects of thick film circuit design, production process parameters and material analysis, automatic dynamic detection are studied in this paper. The purpose is to improve the comprehensive performance of the sensor so that it has a high practical value and economic benefits. The whole development process can provide technical guidance and theoretical basis for the production of automotive fuel level sensor. |
