FAE was a high explosive which was developed since 1960. It is different from traditional TNT in principle, concept, composition, performance and use effect. So FAE has received extensive attention from military power since appeared. It is significantly important to carry out research on the damage power test and evaluation to better evaluate the damage power of FAE.This paper divided the blast field of FAE into three areas, they were cloud zone, near field and far field. The testing methods of blast wave pressure effect, fragment effect, seismic wave effect, smothering effect, heating effect, and cloud growth rule were proposed due to the characteristics of different areas. Taking equivalent A and B as examples. Blast wave testing system, seismic wave testing system and cloud growth rule testing system were built.The request of testing method was proposed. The availability of testing data was enhanced by the reasonable point location, and the testing data of blast wave pressure in blast field was handled and analyzed. Building the polynomial fitting formula and exponential attenuation formula and using entire and piecewise length of the fitting by the data of blast wave pressure. To get the better fitting formula and the handing method by comparison using correlation index and residual standard deviation. Before experiment, TNT was used to calibrated. And then FAE exploration experiment was processed in the same condition. The equivalent TNT of FAE was calculated by the fitting formula of the scene and the theory, and the damage power of FAE was evaluated.Experiment and analysis shows that the damage power testing method and evaluation method which were built have practical engineering application value. So a effective study method was provided for the damage power evaluation of FAE.
