Located in the gorge of the Jinsha River Xiluodu Hydropower Station, power station hub by the flood, the building block River dam, diversion buildings and so on. Xiluodu dam up to 278m, a large amount of high dam, the construction time is tight, concrete strength. Dam site is located in the subtropical sub-humid climate zone, mild winters and dry, hot and rainy in summer, dam concrete construction characteristics and dam area climatic conditions determines the temperature control of concrete arch dam. The important cause of temperature cracks in concrete dams is that under the restriction conditions, the temperature tensile strain exceeds the allowable tensile deformation capacity, which can lead to cracking. This is not only related to the external environment, construction factors, boundary conditions and water temperature rise, but also with concrete quality and performance. The cracking of concrete dam is a combination of many factors, and it also includes the combination of the time. Arch dam is thin, the change of surrounding temperature and water temperature is more sensitive, the change of temperature in the dam is big, because of arch dam by both sides of the river and the construction of basal bedrock constraint, temperature changes lead to as a statically indeterminate structure of arch dam may appear larger temperature stress, so for the concrete arch dam, temperature load is one of the main loading in the design, make reasonable design of the temperature control in the construction period, quality of dam concrete pouring were full range control, and earnestly implement the concrete temperature control measures for crack prevention in order to achieve the purpose. At the same time, due to the use of concrete in the longitudinal seam of the thin layer of the way, the lower part of the large size of the warehouse, the constraints of the rock is also large, prone to run through the cracks. And concrete temperature drop process is slow, caused by temperature difference between inside and outside of the internal constraints for a long time, easy to produce surface cracks, and easy to cause the abutment cracks, which affect the dam safety of the structure. Concrete temperature control is one of the key problems in the construction, during construction must be of concrete taken strict temperature control measures, ensure the strength of concrete to prevent cracks and ensure the integrity of the dam structure, to ensure the smooth implementation of the high arch dam concrete construction quality and schedule. Now the project has been successfully concluded, this paper will be in the dam construction process of the temperature control technology demonstration and analysis, for the future related projects to do technical support.
