| Based on the ubiquitous urban problems, such as block’s single function, separated spatial relationship and adverse environmental conditions, an attempt is made to find a flexible mode, through which cyclic utilization of the urban space and environment optimization can be realized. Thus, the alternation of different functions can be implemented through the time-to-space conversion of the urban blocks, and comfortable natural ecology and visual environment can be created simultaneously.Landscape urbanism is taken as the theoretical background, through which an attempt is made to study and analyze the design methods of the strategy "landscape infrastructure" in the creation of urban space. From two perspectives "landscape" and "infrastructure", the internal correlation is elaborated, and the theoretical connotation of the design strategy formed by double-direction compound is summarized. By virtue of analysis, relevant design methods, including the constituent elements and organization forms, are clarified. Furthermore, they are also compared with modes of construction under other theories. On this basis and the urban hierarchical structure, the study on the methods of the design strategy is focused on pertinent methods for "block", which is the minimum unit of a city. Through case study, the mode and method of "thickened ground" are summarized. Thus, certain guidance and reference are provided to the future practical design of urban public space in China. |
